The fall tour also honors ten of the top girls’ soccer teams, ten of the top girls’ volleyball teams and 50 of the top football teams in the country.  This is the 7th year for the football tour, the 3rd for girls’ volleyball and the second for girls’ soccer.  Boys’ soccer teams are being honored for the first time this year.

The teams are presented with national ranking trophies by representatives from the Army National Guard across the country.  Teams are chosen based on their record, strength of schedule and quality wins.  All honored teams must have won a state championship.  The Army National Guard has been presenting the tour since its inception as it believes that the charateristics in the championship-winning players are the same as those within their guardsmen.  The partnership enables the Army National Guard to reach and interact with their key demographic.
